    Navigon GPS

I don't believe that they'd be compatible with other companies software. Although they do have other SD cards from Navigon's higher models, like the 5100 or 7100, that you can use in the 2100 that have a much larger database of POI's. I've seen the 5100 SD cards on E-bay for $30-$50 range.

    Navigon GPS

I purchased the Navigon 2100 back in March and used it on a trip to Florida for Spring Break. I was for the most part impressed, especially for the $119.00 on sale I paid for it at Staples. The spoken road names feature is very nice, although sometimes the pronunciation is, uhmm interesting. The...

Xbox 360 hd dvd add-on good or bad?

I voted "Haven't gotten yet", because, ahhh, I haven't. But been doing research the last few days as my old DVD player is starting to have problems and I've started to use the 360's DVD playback. I hadn't realized that the 360 HD DVD add on was so reasonably priced. With all the good comments on...

    Favorite Wii game

I must say my favorite game so far is Rayman Raving Rabbids. It's hilarious and utilizes the Wii controllers in so many ways. Definately recommended. Coming in a close second is Wii Sports. My wife, who usually has no interest in video games loves the bowling and 4 player tennis is a blast.

    [CHARTER] Opinions of Charter DVR?

I'm quite sure that the $14.99 is the per unit charge.

    [CHARTER] Opinions of Charter DVR?

Anyone have any advice/opinions on Charters DVR service? I'm considering adding it but not sure if it's worth an extra $14.99 a month to me personally. I've read that it's fairly limited in storage space and not the most user friendly either. There is really very few shows that I watch on a...

    No Soup for you!

I'm in N.E. lower Michigan (revised my profile) and up here I have NO local HD channels, either through E* or D* and none OTA either. At least with Charter Digital I get a downstate ABC-HD feed, with more promised soon. And my installer didn't mention a 2 or 3 dish solution, but I wouldn't...

    No Soup for you!

I am in a Verizon service area but I did an inquiry and their FiOS TV service is not available in my area yet. Looks promising. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    No Soup for you!

Well, I greatly anticipated my Dish installation February 28th. I was a new subscriber and greatly looked forward to their new HD content. My installer was very prompt and friendly. I had thought it would be an easy install for him as my old VOOM dish and cable were still up and run to the 2...

Should I be concerned about installation?

Thanks to all for your responses. I just got off the phone with a CSR and she verified that I'll be getting the ViP411 receiver along with the 311. She verified my Silver package order and also that the Dish 1000 will be installed. I feel alot better now. :) Now another question. My old VOOM...

Should I be concerned about installation?

I was a happy subscriber to VOOM for the 3 months I had it before they went under. I reluctantly switched back to Charter Digital cable after VOOM's demise and have been fairly happy with them, even though their HDTV content was limited to HDnet, HDnet Movies, ESPN HD, and ABC HD. I was happy...

    Farewell Voom And Hello Charter

The first 100 channels are supposed to be "100% digital quality" just like the rest of the package. I honestly can't say for sure either way, not that tech savy. I can say they don't look to be anywhere close to as the quality that the analog channels were on VOOM. Perhaps when they finish the...

    Farewell Voom And Hello Charter

Back to Charter for me.. Was very happy to have finally gotten rid of Charter (except for basic cable in order to get my local channels) when I switched to VOOM back in February. Oh well, I got a couple months of HD before the shutdown at the end of April. :( Well, this was my first...
