    Be back to what? DTV? It's possible, but not until they iron out a few issues. I'd love to cut the cord entirely, but that's probably still a few years off for our usage. Probably after the next summer Olympics as I bet NBC will require local service like they do every year.

    DisplayPort does support audio, though I really don't know if it's implemented in today's GPUs.

    Thanks, I may give this a try. I still need to call DTV and find out how far in advance, if at all, I need to cancel. I'm not sure if they will prorate my final bill.

    My hardware supports it just fine. It's a well known issue with DirecTV2PC not always recognizing HDCP with DisplayPort interfaces.

    Is there any sort of list or database of retailers? I'll ask around and see if anyone I know locally has had a recent DISH install. Thank you for your replies. I'm in the Orlando area if anyone happens to know of a good retailer.
