Testing the new Titanium C138 Performance Plus C Band LNBF

Sounds like your interference is not coming from a tower, but rather from nearby cell phones connecting to one of those towers.

    What Happened to Everybody?

I'm still in it for the long haul. Strictly C Band at this time. Fortunately NO 5G interference so far! Mostly I watch Grit TV. Wife loves many different Spanish channels. I still plan to mount a Ku dish, just haven't gotten around to it. We switched to TMobile Internet. Netflix, Paramount+...

    C band setup

Generally speaking, no. The C138 is single output. You need a dual output lnb or lnbf with a multi-switch. The Titanium Satellite C238 would work.

    C band

I would pass on it. Too small, plus damaged. Just my opinion.

The CW, again - I thought it was moving from 91 W to 93 W but today it was only on 91 W?

My 10 footer receives it, so it is there anyway. Not quite as strong as the cbs feeds though.

Win a 2 LNB Add On Bracket Bundle for Ku Dish w/Amiko LNB and Pansat 4x1 DiSEqC Switch!

I've never had a ku dish setup. But... I have an old primestar dish and another small dish that I hope to test soon. Mainly interested in 34W for the wife. I've had one pole up for over a month, but haven't gotten around to mounting a dish yet. Yard work keeps getting in the way. Cement...

    Found a C band dish.Now what?

Okay, I was wrong. I'm glad you got it all figured out. You win! I'm done.

    Found a C band dish.Now what?

Those cm sizes are for ku band, NOT for C Band. C band sizes are listed in meters. (m) For instance: 3m, which would be approx a 10 foot dish edit typo

    Found a C band dish.Now what?

I wasn't suggesting to scrap it... just be realistic with how much you want to invest in getting the 8ft dish part to work. The cabling, pole, receiver, sat positioner, actuator (if good), switches, etc are wise investments toward a larger dish in the future.

    Head scratcher for sure.

Trying to get into C-Band, may have found a dish?

Keep an eye out while driving around. Back roads seem to be more productive than high traffic areas since many salvagers have grabbed up the easy pickings. Then ask the owners if they would like their old dish removed. Explain that the scrap value is very low and tell them you want to re-purpose...

    Found a C band dish.Now what?

I started out with an 8 ft dish, so can speak from bit of experience. I would not invest much to repair an 8 ft'er. Don't worry about making the dish 'pretty'. Just the minimum to get it working well. No sooner than you get it working and you will be looking for a 10 ft'er... or larger...

    Help

Other than the lnb failing.... verify the dish hasn't developed play from wind damage. Something could be shifting around enough to lose track. It seems so random

do I need to install a ku band filter if I have a cband filter installed?

No, as in zero signal strength on the ku lnb? Was switches powered on while installing the waveguide? Maybe blew a switch... or ku lnb died.

    Satellite c-band dish problem

*First I would check the coax connections to make sure they didn't loosen vibrating in the wind. You might get lucky and that's all that happened. If after verifying the dish has not moved on the pole... as others suggested: Wind whipping dish up and down could throw the feed out of center...

Thanks for looking, Gary. I don't believe I'd be interested in that one with a servo moter since we use multiple receivers here. We like receiving both polarities at the same time. Should make someone very happy though. Could also use: C band lnb or two Satellite positioner box. (VBox,etc)...
