    Here is what I find interesting - if I have the signal finder hooked up, level and plumb, set the elevation, skew and find the azimuth - get everything set - I'm pretty sure that I've found the satellite signal by the indication on the signal finder (the sound changes and the needle increases)...

    I went straight to the Point Dish screen and then started slowly turning my dish. I'm using the skew and elevation from dishpointer.com. Not getting anything on the signal strength meter. I do not have the winegard satellite finder hooked up. What now?

    Stardust3- it ran the check switch test and now it's acquiring signal. Now it's downloading the Program Guide - this is in my home. Yep, I've got all of my channels. I think the receiver is good. Now I'll take it outside and follow your steps

    Mast is vertical (plumb) and tripod is level. I had unplugged the receiver when I changed back to original tripod and I just turned it back on. It's performing a switch test right now. I'll let you know the results. I still have the foil on the outside LNB's. BTW, I appreciate all your help.
