Those out of G1 footprint may lose a few channels in the next couple of years.

No contacts in Canada and I was planning a trip Winnipeg but probably will not happen now. I will have to use a broker and fortunately there are some decent ones out there since using the phony address that some of us use here with Dish & Direct may not fly with Shaw. I was lucky and got out...

SALE OF THE YEAR, in TEXAS i wish this guy ships stuff but he wont

Wow! that's a deal for all that and too bad it's over 1,000 miles away to pick it up for me. I would be a little suspicious of the low price though for all that.

    Cozi

Kind of a strange situation. The Munsters air from 6-7pm CDT (two 1/2 hour shows) and a few of the episodes had the black levels stretched causing the video to be washed out. Either someone encoded that way into their playout servers or that's on the master and cannot be tweaked. I realize...

Those out of G1 footprint may lose a few channels in the next couple of years.

So I assume the DSR630 is MPEG-4 compatible. I should be ok with receiving G1 here in Minneapolis. I haven't bought my equipment yet but will do soon and that upgrade information is good information. In the old days when there was a sim-sub it was just of matter to unplug it and when it would...

Just kicked Nagrastar out of my office

Way to go Claude!. I would have told them the same to get lost and if they come back it would be considered trespassing and then call the cops. Hey DISH, go after the people currently stealing your signals using a method not to be mentioned here. Does the audit team still call and harass subs...

Bought an HR44-200 owned, have not received an access card.

That is what I was thinking too. I once had an account that "moved" to different DMA for their locals. When I discontinued the service. I had specifically asked them to ship the box to my service address. Told them I was staying at my real address for a few weeks and they said it would not be...

    The Ten Commandments Recording Issue

Anyone else have trouble with the EPG having the Ten Commandments from 6pm to 11:44pm with the duration of 4 hours and 44 min?. Both ABC stations had that and my recording cut off 1 hour 44 minutes. With that start time the guide gave it a 4h 44min record window since the start time was at...

A Thank You to Directv :)

By no means DirecTV maybe perfect. Ever sense AT&T bought them out, customer service has taken a slight downward trend in quality but I rarely have to call them. The most time is for remote control replacement as the keys get worn out with all the channel surfacing. They ship the correct model...

    Holy Ku Dish!

Nice work on cleaning your dish, looks almost brand new!.

A Thank You to Directv :)

Also agree. been a subscriber since 1997, nearly 20 years!. Had PrimeStar and was converted to Directv after they bought them. I have a couple of times in the summer with rain fade and it only lasted a few minutes. My neighbor was giving me a hard time saying when it rains I have no signal...

    AMC 124.9 W KU Band

Probably would just leave it on 125KU for PBS if you can. Trying to get ku signals on that 6 footer are kind of tough. That's why 90cm or 1.2m dishes rock pulling in ku signals. I have a dedicated 90cm for Montana and PBS and signal qualities are fantastic. I would recommend the dedicated ku...

Does the FCC really require Directv to get cellphone numbers from customers calling for service?

It's known as the Do Not Care List by the telemarketers. They call anyway knowing the chance of getting caught is low to none. Getting more crap calls now on my cell due to auto-dialers and spoofed caller ID. Changing cell numbers is really no help besides the inconvenience of telling the...

Does the FCC really require Directv to get cellphone numbers from customers calling for service?

It's happened where a business wanted my cell phone number and I made the mistake of saying I don't have one then they tried to sell me one!. I just politely say no and that's it.

DirecTV admits to incorrect billing for RSNs

The moral of the story is how screwed up Direct was in charging different RSN fees to zip codes that are next door to each other. Minneapolis was a good example, the city is divided into multiple zip codes and some were charged near $8.00 and just down the street that changed to a different zip...

771 errors on 99/103, Bad LNB or alignment issue?

His 101° signals are fantastic, but the 99° signal levels are all over the place and 103° are low but don't vary as widely compared to 99°. My gut feeling is the LNB is shot due to the large variations in the 99° signal levels. If the OP has the protection plan then have Directv get their butt...

Is Flex Pack a rip off????

Dish has some pretty hardcore stuff available, my WA dish tends to heat up causing warping. Dish receivers are capable of getting STD's also, so please be careful and protect your equipment. :)

DirecTV admits to incorrect billing for RSNs

It's the name of the game, hidden fees, bogus fees, fees to get the privilege to pay a fee. Companies can advertise a channel package for let's say $29.95 a month but they don't tell you all the extra fees that makes the cost $45.00 a month. It's getting so bad that Directv might started...

Wow - software download hit my HR44 like a ton of bricks this morning...

Well there are other pay TV providers out there to choose from if you are not happy with Directv. Software updates are sent when Directv sends them, in a blizzard or a storm, etc. If they were to wait for calm weather across America to push new software, it would never get done.

OTHER Universal LNB - Linear - on a DISH NET 1000.2 dish

This project sounds exciting. Finally a good use of the smaller dbs dishes since I don't have a ton of 3 footers to spare. When the weather improves and holds, it's dish time!. Thanks for all the info on your setups...

OTHER Universal LNB - Linear - on a DISH NET 1000.2 dish

That's pretty cool on your setup especially getting Cozi on 103. Going to try the same with an old Dish500, and Directv slimline no longer in use. The tough part is making the custom LNBF holders. PBS can be a tough nut, so sticking with a 90cm is the way to go.

So you want to be a tester?

Are these being sold via Dish's website?. I am looking for a 211k for the Flex Plack pre-paid service since the sub would not be permanent.

So you want to be a tester?

Ouch!. Is Missouri that hard up for tax money?. Hope they never consider a "coax cable" tax where you are charged a per foot in your dish installation. :)

    ESPN 3 Now available

A new chapter in ESPN's life to be able to watch on the go with DirecTV is a nice feature that they added. I think the next chapter for ESPN to endevour, is chapter 7 if the exodus of viewers continue.

    Digicipher II - Unscrambled channels

That was my understanding too. Once the box was authorized for anything then FK channels would work. Even if the box was no longer authorized for programming it would still work on FK services. When I had my first 905 this is exactly how it worked. I messed around with it trying various...

    Xfinity

Now that's a dish!. Would really help lock those pesky S2 8PSK signals. That dish needs a paint job though.
