My Joey is quite slow to react in comparison to the main Hopper unit (especially after updated software). Will the Wally respond faster with the new H3?

I think a lot of the "so what" reactions to 4K are attributed to sources that are upconverted and/or are not shot with true 4K cameras. The Masters streamed in 4k this past spring was truly awesome and a definite difference from 1080i on my 65" LG OLED from 6' viewing

Well this is pretty encouraging- I can have OTA recordings and supplement with streaming Netflix etc. hopefully. It would be great if more could confirm deactivated Hoppers work with OTA like a Channel Master for instance. I am still active with Dish for a while yet so I cannot.

since I own it and am considering cutting the cord so to speak it might be handy as a recorder for ota, anyone confirm this is possible?

There was a thread a couple of years ago without an answer- if I cancel Dish, can I use my (owned) Hopper 2 with Sling for OTA recordings? Or is it a door stop at that point?
