4K programming is the last reason to consider a Hopper 3 and not everyone has the same needs. People who do a lot of recording with more than 2-3 TV's need a Hopper 3. Faster GUI, better video drivers, etc - all worth it. If you're gonna pay for cable TV, why not have the best equipment?

It's not a common problem. Your signal protector is kicking in because you're not getting a signal due to a list of possible reasons. You need a tech to come out and sweep your system
