    Ota Recordings

    I get those consistently with OTA channels that have no DVR functions, i.e., cannot ff, pause, rewind live shows. Other OTA recordings work regularly -- although not flawlessly.

    Interesting DVR bug!?!

    I have had 2 0 minute recordings as well. In my case was not even recording another show on another channel but was tuned to another channel. Red light stayed on entire time it was supposed to. After red light went off, went to DVR screen tried to play recording and ) seconds error 679...

    Next 921 software release today?

    When i was discussing why my PPV wasn't working on my primary 921 receiver with a Dish techie he mentioned that a new software release is coming thursday (today). Take that for what its worth because we all know they aren't always coordinated with the latest info there.

    New software version 146 downloaded!

    Mine did not have the recordings killed. However, the blue lines were not fixed anyway and I had to return "fixed" unit for a screened new unit. No blue lines yet on new unit.

    I found OTA recording only seems to work consistently with the 921 if I set up a once only (not weekly) manual timer through the menu system. I then must tune to a satellite channel before the OTA channel is to start recording and not have another recording set at the same time. Even though it...

    Dish 921 first impressions

    Need holy water here also...I got mine back from a blue line fix about 4 days after sending it. Blue lines still remained although a bit lighter on the darker scenes. Dish is sending me a screened replacement overnite and asked me to send back current one. Looking forward to checking new one...
