I have had my 721 a little less than a year. It is my most dependable receiver. I often use it to backup stuff I program on my 921 in case the 921 misses a recording. I don't think I ever missed one with the 721. I just wish it could get HD. :)

You should be able to record two satellite HD programs at a time or one satellite and one OTA. It is correct that you cannot do two OTA recordings at a time. As you get more familiar with the 921, I think you will enjoy it more.

Check before you buy. Many 921s do not contain free install certs. Mine did not (purchased before price break), but I had everything I needed so I did not care. Everyone has been saying that Costco boxes have them, if your Costco has 921s. Many do not.

Unless the 811 is your only receiver, there is always a $5 ($4.98?) charge for an extra receiver. I think in the case of a lease this fee covers both. If that is correct, you only really have the HD pack charges for a year that are extra. Even if you buy the receiver on eBay, you will have to...

Two different CSRs in the tech group of Dish told me that you can't run two lines from a quad (DishPro) to a DP34. They told me the quad must be replaced with twin. The lines of the twin go to a DP34 and then a second DP34 is cascaded for the extra lines. Has anyone actually run two lines...

The other receiver is the 811. There are two receivers in the other room using both of those connections. What happens if a signal splitter is used? No signal on either receiver? Weak signal? Interference? If the splitter idea cannot work, will the 721 work with only one line hooked up?
