    Help escalating DirectTv cust service

Cariera - I'll agree to disagree with you. After working in customer service for 12 years I've learned it's never a good thing to make a customer pay for something they don't want. If I were them I'd give in on this one to make sure I'd keep me as a customer. Also, as I mentioned, I have no...

    Help escalating DirectTv cust service

Jimbo, The "automatic" auto renewal is the part that bothers me the most. As far as I know, I never had a chance to say no to this. Therefore, the onus is now on me to remember to cancel the service. This wouldn't be such a big deal if they would pro-rate a service for you when you wanted to...

    50ft tower install.. 5-LNB options??

"Starting in September, there will be a lot more national HD available than the 3 LNB dish will supply." Bob - are you referring to HD channels that will NOT be local. .i.e. USA, TBS, FX.. etc? Brewer--- we are in the thick of the woods with the LOS for the satellite aiming directly...

    50ft tower install.. 5-LNB options??

Hello, We've had to go with a 50 ft tower to get a LOS for Directv. We currently have the 3-LNB dish with 2 HD receivers and one non-HD receiver .. these are obviously all not in use now. We originally had the free mover's install/upgrade to 5 lnb setup in June. The installer couldn't get...

Apparently some people get national feeds

I still get the east coast and west coast feeds. I don't know if I'm "grandfathered" in or not.. but when I bought my dish in 1998 I was able to get national feeds for ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS (don't remember fox). Then I lost the NBC and ABC feeds as those were local channels in my area...

    Questions about Tivo with H20

Jimbos.... Thank you!! That picture looks a lot better now that I have it going through the component cables. The TV didn't come with an HDMI cable so I will have to purchase one of those. I even got the Tivo hooked up as you recommended using S-video and audio cables. As it turns out, I...

    Questions about Tivo with H20

My illiteracy is going to show on this question... but I guess that's the way it is. I've gotten some good info here before so I figured this was my best bet to get my questions answered. Can I display HD if I'm using a HD DirectTv receiver (h20) with a non-HD Tivo? I knew I couldn't...

New H20 install - can't get HD channels

Charper/Jimbos... you are right I believe. We have 3 receivers right now... a directv one, a RCA DVR and the new H20. The directv and RCA DVR are not HD. The directv receiver in the bedroom recognizes all 3 satellites.. it gives an "ok" on them. After further checking last night, I see that...

New H20 install - can't get HD channels

Hello, This is my first post.... thankfully I've been able to answer most of my other questions just by searching the forum. However this time I can't quite nail it down. I replaced a RCA DirecTv DVR with a H20 Directv HD receiver today. I called Directv to add the receiver and activate...
