Anyone get a better price if trying to disconnect?

I've never heard of anyone getting a better price than what they already have. I honestly don't even know if they have a "retention" dept at all.

New FIOS Customer - Former Dish Subscriber

You won't regret your purchase. I was a Dish sub for a number of years until FiOS came along and just like you, became frustrated with their box. I made the switch to TiVo and haven't regretted a minute. Enjoy!

    New HD channels in June...

    Here Comes Oppo!

According to what I've seen and heard, the "lucky 50" were chosen and the units were sent out last week. They're supposedly going to let the chosen few play with the new units for about a week and they will then vote on whether to allow an additional 50 to receive units for more beta testing or...

    Here Comes Oppo!

As good as Oppo players have been in the past, I'd sit on the sidelines until all the bugs are worked out also. Their customer service is known to be excellent, but I don't want to buy a player because they have excellent customer service....I'd rather have an excellent product and never have to...

    Here Comes Oppo!

I don't think anyone can really answer that. But if they do come out with a universal player that does what they say it'll do at that price point, they're going to have a huge success on their hands. One other thing about Oppo.....The price will remain firm. I sincerely doubt that you'll see any...

Ouch! Recovery can be sweet, can't it? The Pannys are such better players!

PCMag.com Declares Verizon FiOS Internet 'Fastest'

My 20/5 is remarkable......FIOS TV is about as perfect as you can get (as long as you have a Tivo instead of one of Vz's toy DVRs).

    Panasonic DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55

I had a Sammy BD-P1400 before getting my Panasonic and it's like night and day. Whenever Samsung came out with a firmware upgrade, I'd wait a week to see if anyone had any issues with it. Samsung had me convinced that Blu-ray wasn't ready for prime time. I get the Panasonic and the thing is...

    Panasonic DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55

I fired up my 35 this afternoon and noticed there's a new firmware update. We're now at 1.6. I'll have to see what it is, but I've already downloaded it anyway.

    Panasonic DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55

And don't forget about the 2 free movies. Certainly not a deal-maker but still better than nothing. I ordered mine from Amazon yesterday and will have it on Monday. I can't wait to put my Sammy 1400 on e-bay. I've got a Tivo that will download Netflix in December, so I'm good to go.

    WHERE IS VOOM!

VOOM was removed from *E for a very good reason; the same old, tired programs were played over and over ad nauseum. It became a waste of bandwidth and *E made a very good business decision. Let's hope VZ learns from *E's mistake.

FiOs installed today but the channels???

Here you go: Verizon | FiOS TV Channel Lineup Plug in your zip code and you should get what you need.

FiOs installed today but the channels???

Your installer may not have known of the channel change, but I can't understand why he/she wouldn't. If you're in the NTX or FL area, the change happened on the 6th and 7th and may take a couple of days to clear up.

    Tivo hearing today?

Your reply is typical but just let me state that I'm an *E sub and don't give a hoot in hell about this mess. Charlie took a chance and lost. Again, get over it.

    North TX Date Change

We're short by about 15 but those may be sent around 10/20 according to their website. I can live with that.

    Tivo hearing today?

It's hardly extortion if they won the case........Get over it.

    Verizon Adding Olympic Channels

It looks like Verizon is adding a few more channels for the Olympics. So far, CNBC-HD is showing up on channel 879, USA-HD is on 884, regular CNBC is on 918 and something called "live Soccer" is active, but just showing color bars on channel 896. My Tivo hasn't alerted me to these new stations...

Have Fios TV Question! Coming in Aug. for me!

It acts just as a cable DVR, only far better than any Moto box made. It has a larger capacity hard drive and the capability of adding even larger drives as well as adding a second drive. It's a pretty slick machine. The downside is that you don't get video on demand. Some people can't live...

Have Fios TV Question! Coming in Aug. for me!

Presently, Vz only has the S cards, but sometime in the future, M cards should become available. Tivo HD can use either two S cards or one M card and the Tivo Series 3 requires two cards no matter which card you have.

Have Fios TV Question! Coming in Aug. for me!

I've got the triple play also and haven't had any issues as far as billing is concerned, but the Moto 6416 drove me nuts. I ended up getting a Tivo Series 3 and never looked back. If you're looking for info, one of the better places to look is: Verizon FIOS TV forum - dslreports.com broadband...

If Fios Wants To Beat Cable Then They Have To Listen To The Consumer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Both the Series 3 and Tivo HD work well with FIOS.
