    I am no longer getting cable HD channels that I was getitng, and I'm not getting many of the QAM SD channels. I basically just get the local channels and Music Choice. Maybe the HD was a free preview.

    The old QAM channels have not changed in a while, but Charter apparently descrabled some channels for the new year. These channels are free, but supposedly you have to have an HD set top box to view them except for locals.

    Winding noise with 5 disc player/reciever

    My Samsung surround sound reciever can change five discs, and when I start it up, it makes a winding noise that goes away once I open and close the door. With in minute or so, the noise stops regardless of what I do. Is this normal?

    I meant DVD recorder too. I have no devices that use firewire, except for my TV. The only recording devices that I have are a VCR, and a DVD recorder. Just think, an entire season of CSI could fit on one BlueRay disc.

    Yes, there is a way to record digital TV. All you need is a converter box that is ran through your recorder. The converter box could turn the digital Tv into analog. Technically, you would be recording analog signals though :)

    Thinking about cancelling

    DN resolved my complaint with the BBB and refunded me for the amounth I requested--which was about half of the cancellation fee. They cited the roof damage claim and the report of the tech. not showing up for issuing the refund.
