I've had pretty good service from them so far. I wonder if you have an RV and possibly faxed in an RV form as well as signed up for their service via their website. Might account for the double billing. Just guessing here of course. We faxed in an RV form and got service activated two days...

I'm thinking this might do away with their requirement to have a phone line always connected too. Broadband is always on so that should suffice I would think. Time to move my router to the front room....

Just as an update, today I bypassed all house wiring and plugged directly into the interface box on the outside of the house. Tested with and without a DSL filter inline with same results - no 625 dialout - line failure. I'm going to give SBC a call and see what they can do if anything.

Well that's not good news. Was traveling all day today so no time to do any further troubleshooting. I'll work on it this weekend and should I find the problem will report what it was. If I can't I'm hoping Dish will just let me dial in once a week manually. We love the 625 other than this...

Thank you very much for your troubleshooting suggestions. I'll get looking into all of them and see what I can come up with. House is only 5 years old but of course that doesn't mean something wasn't installed correctly.

Just received a replacement 625 and problem still exists. What is happening is that the 625 is not detecting dial tone and won't dial out. Both units have same symptoms so there must be something wrong locally. Phones plugged into same outlet work fine. Have tried several different DSL...

We're thinking of getting a DVR (522/625). My wife is a bit hard of hearing and likes to have the close captioning on all the time. Will these DRVs display the close captioning on the programs they have previously recorded? Thanks.

I was looking at the current software version list on dishnetwork's website and see that version 2.31 for my 3900 receiver was released on the 14th. Just checked and see that mine still shows version 2.30. Is a couple of days delay a normal thing? I have my receiver set to automatically...
