Looks like I might have a bad HR21. It never gets past Step 1 of 2, and I can hear the hard drive spin up, click a few times, then spin down over and over. Tried leaving it unplugged for a while but it didn't matter. Am I looking at paying for a replacement? Or would an external hard drive...

Yeah, no idea why my push button didn't work but the pin code worked fine. I need to get a USB adapter or two. I am annoyed the 3300s didn't bridge with each other because the bridge units only have 2 ports on them, so I have to hang additional switches off them to make them work the way I need.

DirecTV just called and upgraded my last remaining HDTivo for free to the HR21. No lease fees, no extension to my contract. I had called them a week ago asking if there were any upgrades available, and they told me I'd have to pay $199 so it's nice to get it for free ;)

Have you been able to confirm that the 3300 will actually bridge with itself? Or do you need to get the 1100 bridge kit? I can't find anything that says they will, just that they will not act as wireless repeaters :(

If you see the other thread in the main forum on VOD freezes, it appears people are having better luck with some newer routers. I'm about to go retire all my buffalos :(

So are you buying more than one and bridging them? I have 3 Buffalos in bridged mode to cover some really dead areas in my house, so it's an expensive proposition to upgrade all of them :( Sad to see my Buffalos have to go.

After hooking mine up yesterday the remote response seemed definately slower.

I have the exact same issues on my HR20 AND HR21s. Even use Buffalo wireless stations also :). I unplugged them from the internet and everything went back to normal. Plugged one in yesterday, and 3 hours later it was locked solid.

It FIGURES! I finally broke down and get the add-ons for my HR21s (3 of them!) just so I could get WTNH and WCTX via antenna. Grrrrr! I installed them this weekend. Ah, the irony. So when can we expect them to be turned on I wonder....
