OK, here is the actual message: "Sorry for the interruption. There is no need to call us. We are working to have this channel back as soon as possible. You may still watch non-local programming by pressing the guide button on your remote control and selecting another channel."...

    Problem with locals

Hey Guys, For about the last three weeks I have been having a problem with my 625. Sometimes, when trying to tune or record a local channel, I get a black screen with a message that there is no need to call dish, they are aware of the problem, and are fixing it. this has screwed up a ton of...

Is this correct (upgrade to hd dish and dvr)

So would there be ANY fees to use the 942 for OTA, and my current SD AT100? So if my local station is not braodcasting in digital I can not record OTA on the 942.

Is this correct (upgrade to hd dish and dvr)

If one were to buy a 942, what fees are we looking at to get it to work? I have a 625 with At100 w/locals. I don't want HD programing other than OTA. What is the difference between the 942 and 622? Thanks

    VIP 622 Free Offer ?

OK, so now it looks like I would have to add another DVR fee as well. So if I understand it right, I am looking at 3 $6 fees minimum. Probably not worth it to me. Thanks for the responses. Steve

    VIP 622 Free Offer ?

So I have found what I think is part of my answer. At a minimum there is a $6 HD enabling fee, and If I lease a $6 lease fee. Correct?

    VIP 622 Free Offer ?

Can I get 622? I guess this thread is as good as any to ask my question. I currently have a 625, and AT100 w/locals. I pay 34.99 for programing, 5.98 DVR fee, and 5.99 DHPP fee. I am under the 18 month contract, and I get the 5.99 for DHPP back. So basically I am at $41 a month before...

    Dish Network Booth Preview

Oh S**T, the Dishnetwork info says the 625 is USB 1.1. I would hope it still might work even if it is slower.

I had this happen just last night, I swear that I had The Unit set to record all new shows, and unless I am wrong, it was a new epp last night. Still, it didn't record and there is no mention of it being not a new epp or skipped. it just isn't there. This is with a 625 Steve

New TV, how would you hook it up

Hey Guys, I just wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions and input. I picked up the TV today, and so far I am completely satisfied. I see the point of those with HD, but since I have never had it, this new TV is bigger, and looks better than what I had. I ended up using just a...

New TV, how would you hook it up

I have an indoor right now from before I got Dish, so I will try that an see what the results are. The RF feed runs to a 19 standard TV right now, so I can split that to the new TV, or component cable from the 625 to the new TV. I guess the other option is to move the reciever and make...

New TV, how would you hook it up

I just looked, and for TV2, s-video in not an option. So I guess my two options are component video / audo (RCA), or plain old cable. So I guess that is my question, which one is better? Thanks Steve

New TV, how would you hook it up

I probably shoud go to the HD forum if this strays any more off my original question of what cable to use, but.... From what I see, in my zip code, 16411, I don't have any HD OTA available, nor would my dish locals be HD even if I moved to a HD package and reciever. correct me if I am wrong.

New TV, how would you hook it up

OK, I need to hear from someone that is using an SD reciever with a large LCD. Do you wish you had not made the purchase? I didn't think all that many shows / channels were in HD, I could be wrong. I would find it pretty hard to pay extra for HD, I'm so cheap I gripe about my bill as it is...

New TV, how would you hook it up

Hi guys, I come here because I know you have the answers. Right now I have a 625, and two standard tube TV's. I am thinking that for Christmas we may get a LCD FLat screen, which will become a second TV2. I am thinking of the VIZIO 32", 37", or 42 " LCD. I know I could spend more, but...

    Windstream\Alltel Bundle?

I should mention that for the first few months the bill will irritate you. partial months, credits, errors, etc. I think I had to call alltel a few times, but it has settled itself down now, and I seems to be correct. I did get HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime (I think) free for three months. You...

I have exactly that, I originally had alltel, for phone, then added internet, then added Dish. Now I have local phone $25, 1.5MBs DSL $25, and Dish AT60, 625 DVR $45. Costs are approximate, but my total bill is $95 a month including taxes. I never had a problem withh Alltel, and the switch...
