    The 622 shouldn't be doing anything to the signal if, e.g., it's outputting a 1080i channel to 1080i. The difference you're experiencing may be due to your TV inputs being calibrated differently.

    That's funny, because my Dresden Files timer was ok, but the BSG one showed no events and I had to re-create it. The same thing happened with a couple of other timers as well. Also, I had a manual timer set for 2-6am, which resulted in a recording of only 2 minutes!

    I have a macro programmed in my MX-500 which is quite fast (no delays necessary). Any remote with macro support should be able to do it (it's about 12 keypresses).

    I don't think so. You're thinking of the $6 lease fee. The fact that they waived the DVR fee with HD Platinum was the main reason I went with it.

    Nothing to smile about. If ERT goes, I'm ending my 6 year relationship with E*. I doubt ERT would stoop as low as the Charlie/Globestar bluffing war went. If anything, I think they'll make themselves available to both E & D*..
