Dish 811 with Pioneer DVD recorder

Has anybody tried the combo of a Pioneer DVD recorder with the 811? If so, does the "Autostart" record feature work? Aspect ratio problems...or am I missing something?

Ever since 269 hit, I can't adjust the Aspect ratio in Standard def. I see the box there when I hit channel up/down, but only the HD changes, not the SD. Am I missing something?

    "Jumpy" video on 811?

    "Jumpy" video on 811?

I posted this before - sometimes on my 811 the video seems to jump, freeze or skip a frame. I see it on standard and HD channels. Is this something that others have noticed and will be fixed with new software; or is my 811 defective? Thanks! Patrick

occasional freeze on video with 811???

Hi all - just installed my 811. I notice the picture sometimes freezes for a split second then quickly recovers every so often. I never saw it with my old 4900 box. Is this a known defect of the 811 that will be fixed in a software update; or is my 811 defective?

    self install of 811

Thanks for the info, everyone. One more question: With my Dish 500 and the 811, will I be able to get all the Dish HD signals? I read here I might not get CBS-HD. Is this true? And if so...why???

    self install of 811

Thanks for the info. At the risk of sounding stupid, how do I run a "check switch"?

    self install of 811

I have a Dish 500 system, with the 4900 rec. If I get the 811, is there anything special I have to do to install it myself other than simply swapping boxes? Any tips will be much appreciated!!!
