That is wild. QVC is HD and TV Land is still waiting. You would think one of the top cable channels that has original programming in HD and lots of other re-runs in HD would be in HD by now. If you think 90 percent of their programming is not HD, you obviously don't watch the channel at all...

I keep falling for the promise that we'll actually get some useful apps like YouTube or iheart etc... I upgraded to the Hopper 3 thinking some good apps were actually going to happen this time. Sigh. Still waiting.

I live in Minnesota and have been watching Timberwolves games all year. Now all of a sudden the last several games are blacked out on my Hopper 3. What's going on?

So I have a pair of bluetooth headphones that I like, but for some reason they won't stay connected to my Hopper 3. I had the same problem with my Hopper 2. (was hoping the hopper 3 would fix that, but it didn't) They stay connected with my phone, laptop, and everything else I have used, but...

Everything I have connected runs through my Denon receiver. Netflix works fine on my H3 except, no DD 5.1. All other connected devices switch to whatever audio stream is appropriate. This includes Netflix on Roku tested on the same source material, BTW & this is with DD 5.1 pass through enabled...

There is a setting on the new Hopper to pass thru DD versus PCM - I was getting on 2.0 PCM until I changed it. Not sure on the Netflix app since I am the one person who does not use Netflix left in the US. Dolby 5.1 works fine from my Hopper 3 for regular TV. Just not getting it from Netflix...

I'm confused. How can some of us get 5.1 with Netflix and others don't. I get 5.1 on my Roku fine, but only stereo on Hopper 3.

There is no 5.1 on Netflix. Whoever says there is, is full of it. Just cause it says 5.1 in the program description, does not mean it's there. Works great on my Roku not Hopper 3. Disappointing....hope they can get 5.1 added.

Dish guy is here putting in Hopper 3. So did we ever decide if we need 3ghz RG-6 from the dish to the hopper 3, or is lower OK? How about from hub to 2 joeys?

Doesn't anybody watch TVLand? I like some of their original programming, plus a few of the older shows. The Jim Gaffigan show was pretty funny. I would probably miss that channel a bit. If they do reach a deal, it would sure be nice to get it in HD since everyone else does.

I signed up. Just shows up as HBO special price on my programming. Looks like it will stay there as long as I don't change anything.

So I logged on to my Dish account today, and a pop-up came up offering me HBO for 10 dollars a month. Is this the deal I have been reading about? Does it mean I get HBO for 10 dollars a month till I stop it? When I click to accept, it just takes me to my programming and I can change it there...

Hey like you, I'm a Dish fanboy too. Have always loved their equipment. Does this mean I'm gonna have to upgrade receivers again sometime soon? Is the Hopper dead for getting any updates?

I call BS. Dish should just stop telling us what is coming to the current flagship receiver then. Are we even going to get the new UI before they shelf the current hopper? I know technology changes fast, but it gets tiresome having to update receivers all the time to get the new stuff. :(

I don't know about the rest of you, but Dish is frustrating me with all the "great things" that are coming to the Hopper. And then....shelved as Scott puts it. Are we ever going to get anything before the Hopper is "shelved" for a new receiver? I was looking forward to more apps. Music apps...

That's weird. Thanks to this thread....I found it on 9467 in HD. I have a Hopper with sling. My 155 channel is SD only also.
