The first time you plug in a 625 you have to hook it up to the phone line, I had to run a 100 foot phone line during the installation just so the installers could proceed.

There is a shared view on this model that should mirror the video on tv1 to tv2, in theory it should work with just one input

I'm not sure what it is/does, but the installers put a small coax barrel-like object on my uhf antenna. I'm not sure if its for increasing the range/frequency, but this might be something to look into.
