    Double/Stutter Image Issue

I am prepared to deal with start-up issues to an extent as I have done for many companies in the past. However, till they get the main bugs worked out, they should continue beta testing and offerering free or reduced cost services to customers. I am not prepared however to pay the price of a...

    Double/Stutter Image Issue

All I can say is the stuttering today during movies is enough to aggravate me and cause me to cancel service. If it keeps it up, I will have to rethink paying the $125/month to Voom and will have to take my business elsewhere. My neighbors use Dish and they never have such problems.

    1080i issue with DVI

Tried a different receiver and it didn't work. I then phoned VOOM and the customer service rep told me that they are aware of an issue where the DVI only works correctly with a few sets, but for the majority it only works in 480p. They said they are working the issue and it will be corrected...

    1080i issue with DVI

Well, if I am reading right, Sean is having the same type of issue where DVI isn't working with 780 or 1080. If this is the case, then perhaps it isn't the receiver. I have three receivers in the house, so I am going to pull one off of an SD set and try it. The receiver I am using on my HDTV...

    1080i issue with DVI

Well, I think I am just going to stick with component at 1080i till the DVI thing is figured out. My picture at 1080i using component is much cleaner than DVI at 480p. Thanks all for your help and I will continue to monitor this thread for additional ideas.

    1080i issue with DVI

It is DVI-D. DVI-A is obsolete and I have never actually seen equipment that use that interface. My DVI port accepts 480p, 780p, and 1080i. It automatically recognizes which rez the receiver is putting out.

    1080i issue with DVI

New software loaded last night, but didn't solve the problem. Yes the set is HDCP compliant. From what I understand, if it wasn't HDCP compliant though, that the DVI wouldn't work at all. The set is supposed to automatically determine what the receiver output is to determine what rez should...

    1080i issue with DVI

Yep. I have a Samsung 65" Model HCN653W. The DVI is about 6' in length and was just on the installers truck and didn't come with the Voom setup. I'll see about picking up another cable tomorrow and giving that a shot. Thanks Sean and Mr. Biggles for your help.

    1080i issue with DVI

Yes, DLP is correct on the TV. Yes, it is the TV reporting the signal issue. It actually says "no signal or out of range", but you can tell the picture is there, but it is green and flashing funky all around the screen, so it isn't actually snow, nor is it a solid green and only comes in...

    1080i issue with DVI

I read at http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=10506 where others have had problems with DVI and blackouts if I am reading it right. I have noticed that my sound blips for a second every few minutes or so with DVI, but doesn't seem to with component.

    1080i issue with DVI

I have a Samsung 65". Yes I tried with all lights blinking, but still get the green screen. The component works in all rez, but DVI only works when the 3rd light from the top is lit and from my understaning that is 480p.

    1080i issue with DVI

I get a green screen when I select 1080i over DVI on the receiver and it says something about no signal on the screen. Yes, the red button has been used which is why I know it is only working in 480p with DVI, but can work in all rez using component. Separate issue I noticed is the time in my...

    1080i issue with DVI

I looked through the threads to see if this was covered, but couldn't find it. My TV supports 1080i rez, but I can only get it using component, but with component, everything in 16:9 has the widescreen format with black bars at top and bottom and 4:3 programming has black bars all around it...

    My VOOM Install

Just had it done. Even though I had all wires run already and the multiswitch already installed, it still took about 3 hours to complete. Not complaining though. The installer was as nice as they come and did a clean install of the dish. Had three receivers put in. Out of the three, one...

    Pay Per View

I did a search on this and only came up with a thread talking about a fight on Voom PPV, so I figured I would ask. Does Voom have typical PPV channels such as DTV and Dish? I know those two have ~100 channels designated for PPV (even though they don't have programming on them all at all times)...

    Northwest Florida Voom

In the Garcon Point area of Milton, Florida here which is about 15 minutes east of Pensacola. I am supposed to be Vooming on April 26th between 8am and noon. Looking forward to it. I have had a 65" HDTV for about 8 months now, but haven't attempted to take advantage of the HD capability till now.

Thanks for the reply. The multiswitch is what I was wondering about. I believe that is customer supplied isn't it or does Voom provide it?

    Multiplexor Question

Hi all. I am getting my Voom installed on Monday the 26th. I have separate lines running already for antenna and satellite. All satellite lines run to grounding block on the side of the house and all antenna lines run to a grounded splitter. My questions is with the new voom dish. I am have...
