Is there anyway possible to use a Powertech GBOX dish postioner with a Dish network box? I am getting tired of rain fade and would like to go to a larger, moveable dish if possible. I tried searching but found nothing. Thanks.

Maybe thats what I should do. I have the switch 2, 30" dishes and a 31" dish just sitting. I just need the LNB's. Thanks for the responses.

The 1000.2 is small to me. I just thought the larger dish would help when it's stormy out. I never had any rain fade with my Cband dish. Even in worst storm. I have high signals in 90's with the 1000.2 in case you was wondering.

Hi all.......need some info. Have 1000.2 dish. I have an older Dish Superdish. Can I take the 3 LNB from the 1000.2 and mount on the superdish to help combat rain/cloud fade? I am aimed at 110, 119, 129. What would be focal length? Anyone done this? Thanks

I dropped dish about a year ago and had to return the reciever. I currently have everything but reciever. Am thinking of buying a VIP 222K off Ebay. Any ideas as to what they will charge for services? Probably want Bronze with HD. Anyone else done this? Care to share experiance with Dish?

This morning after reading the post. I was getting nowhere trying to convince them that it was probably not software. I had a pencil type solderer and just touched the pin with it. Made sure the solderer was warmed up good. Like i said in my post, I had to use a magnifier to see. I too hope...

I too did fix. I too fixed my 211 the same way. I also do not recommend a self repair. I had to use a magnfier just to see the pins. I touched the pins with a toothpick and the first one on the left was loose. Looking at connector from rear of reciever. I resoldered and all is well.....HDMI...

Please let me know what happens. I called again today and was still being told they would not send me one. Makes me mad becuase picture quality is suffering especially with the sd stuff. i told them I may have to go back to Directv and it did not seem to matter.

Looks good That antenna you have looks good. Getting it higher is the answer. UHF..HD.....they are a line of sight signal. Straight at you so.....the farther away, the higher you need to be. Not like regular TV channels 2-13.....come at you in waves. So you could build whatever you want on...

LNB's I guess I should have posted my question different........Does anyone know if I can use a Digiwave DGS-035 in place of my Dishpro LNB's. I am looking to improve signal quality but do not know if Digiwave DGS-03S is electronically right. Thanks....Bill

LNB's Right they do work.....thats what I have....the noise factor is probably 0.6 or 0.5....the Digiwave is 0.3. I have already improved signal by 20 by just going to a 31" dish. Want to see how much better with a better LNB.
