I have the same problem. Usually the joey will do it at night which is when I watch TV. The hopper will play fine while the joey pixellates but usually a reboot of the joey takes care of it for a while. This just started after the last update. I noticed the joey is faster but this is ridiculous.

Ok I got my joey restored with remote from hopper but now I can't get the hopper remote to pair with either hopper or joey. What gives? I press sat and the light comes on but no beeps or anything.

Anyone know if there's a way to backup my guide favorite list from hopper and then restore it to joey? And vice versa. I hate having to go through all the channels for both hoppers and joeys.

When you like a show you can save it or save series then after a while all those series' will be in your recordings instead of ptat so that might help. Otherwise, there's not much you can do if you don't keep on top of it. They do add up fast.

I've noticed this for a few years. I think it's something to do with the networks knowing dvrs are so popular and they want you watching those commercials as much as possible so they extended the shows. The only thing you can do is set it to record longer but that can cut into the next recording.

I'm not complaining just to complain. After midnight I get asked at least every hour if I want to shut down for updates. It's annoying because it happen while I'm skipping through or fast forwarding. It's not due to remote inactivity. If I pause it will usually shut off way less than an hour...

My joey does it constantly while watching a recorded program. Multiple times a night before 1 am. Doesn't make any sense.
