Already switched over to cable. Suprisingly enough, Adelphia offer HD now. I got an HD DVR and the basic cable package for $50. They only have ABCHD, NBCHD, CBSHD, ESPNHD, INHD1, INHD2, HDVMS, NESNHD right now. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with an antenna and rain fade any more.

2 years ago during the Superbowl the ads for upcoming movies were in HD and full DD5.1 as well. I remember those commercials because it went from crappy SD commercial to WOW factor both audibly and visually. They'll catch on soon enough.

The installer was not happy with the signal I was getting when he put it in. He said it was the weakest signal he's ever gotten despite having a clear sky. I'll talk to Voom and see if they'll upgrade me.

It's back. The rain has slowed down and the signal is in the low 80's now. I rebooted and it came back up. I'm not too happy that a little rain killed my signal. Maybe they'll upgrade my dish size.

I'm on hold with the support line now. What are the basic troubleshooting steps when it doesn't come back online? I looked at my signal strength and it's the same as normal. My OTA stations come in normal but I my little satellite dealie is red and I'm not getting anything from the Dish. Grrrrr.

Why no DD5.1 on this either? I've seen some college games last year with DD5.1 and it made a huge difference.
