In the last month or so I have been getting some audio popping on my VIP622. It will often send my receiver into overload. I am connected via optical. Usually changing channels will stop it. I didn't see it mentioned elsewhere so I am thinking it's just a problem with my DVR.

I've got a ~60" Sony LCD Projection HD TV. Is it safe to allow my AV Receiver to turn off the TV via the switched outlet?

Don't know if it's me or a HW problem. My VIP622 history shows that various things have recorded, but there is nothing showing in the recording list. I can manually record things, it appears as if the timers are not working correctly.
