Need help with Dish 1000, 311 rec. and DPP Twin

Using a spare dish and taking a receiver out of the house to use in RV on weekends. We don't have HD service so I took the single LNBF for 129 sat. off. I have it hooked back up at the house but the picture is snowy. What could be the problem?

I'm trying to follow my TV's manual step by step to set up new TV. Can someone tell me where in this procedure I should stop using the TV remote for setup and start using the Dish remote?

    Install Summary DPP Twin

Before, there was 110, 119 and 129. That was when I had the 311 receiver connected to the Dish 1000. When I connected to Dish 500 using the 311 I got the message above........I assume it meant it couldn't find any satellites.

    Install Summary DPP Twin

Warning 836..........Check Switch test has found fewer satellites than previously detected. Press cancel to keep old result or save to save new result???? What does this mean and what option should I choose? Thanks!
