You can see what each new/renamed combo package gets you here: DISH Network -- Dish HD Check it out and compare. AT250+Gold may give you few more channels as HD Essentials originally had the least amount of HD channels (Essentials>>Ultimate>>Absolute)

As far as the first option (move to At250+Gold) you can do it easily at any point. As far the standalone TurboHD packages they are only avail. for NEW customers only and as you are existing customer you cannot get any of them...at least not until February 01, 2009...

No as you already have AT package and just moving to next in line...you will be OK. Only us with dishHD Absolute package (HD only channels package for $29.99 E* removed as of yesterday) fear to lose it if we change our programming....you on other hand should be OK.

Maybe this was already posted but just in the case it was not... I stumbled on this article while searching for more info about new and upcoming 722 (current user of 622). Not a lot of new things (regular tech. data and info about upcoming external storage) but the last portion of article (FAQ)...

Back in November 2006 I posted the similar question when I got my first 622 and it came labeled as revision "K". I am not really sure if these letters represent anything of major importance. It is true that since I got it I never experienced any issues other users listed in these forums...

E* does not offer an Australian Channel Package per se but you can find some of the related programming scattered through channels like few mentioned here.

I hoped that E* would announce their future programming plans, especially from HD side...telling us what to expect and how they plan to keep to be on the top of HD providers. While I will belive it once I see it, D* announced their addition of 150 national HD channels and 1500 local HD...

Actually they said this will be "one time feature enabling fee", which should, per my understanding, cover all receivers on account. Now...how much this fee will be...is to be seen...

The bottom line...still bad news for all of us with current DishHD Platinum package...still $10.00 price increase. The E* really removed any advantage for their "top loading" customers. One thing I do not see anywhere is, if the DVR fee is still waived with AEP?
