Wonder if they can enhance the 4K Joey to handle HDR? Otherwise, this is going to be painful not having access to those channels. At a minimum, they should just convert the 4K HDR broadcasts to 4K SDR and put on another channel (IMHO).....

Yeah, I found it by accident as was switching to the Olympic channel to get rid of HDCP errors on the main channel. Lol

This is happening again with my Joey4K. None of the tricks work for this setup. Switched to ATV4K (YouTube TV) and the 4K game came right up with zero issues. Wish Dish would get their act together.

Just started watching the World Series. HDCP error immediately upon selecting 540-01. Pulled up the guide and selected 540-02. Comes up and says not available. Pull the guide back up and select 540-01 again. Works fine. Wish Dish would finally fix. Charlie must not watch 4K content…

It is a software issue and when I first spoke to Dish (way back at this point), I even pointed out which version of the software introduced the error. The fact that this is still an issue is crazy. I still get the error (on 2 different 4K setups) and then try a bunch of workarounds which...

I think the lack of RSNs will have a very significant impact for Dish. I’m pretty sure I will drop Dish at some point and that will be the primary reason. YouTube TV just renegotiated with NBC in my area…

Trying to watch the 4K college game (Nebraska Oklahoma). Can’t get the message to go away no matter how long I wait. I finally did the up channel, selected watch and then hit the down channel. Maybe it will hold there! Dumb that this still has not been fixed!

I spoke to Dish when this originally started and even told them which update did it. Still not fixed.

The Olympic HDR channels don’t even show up in the guide for the Joey 4K. SJ

Thanks for the responses. Been with Dish for 24 years. Hard to change but will see how I can get local sports. This is the whole regional sports stuff going on. I know Dish doesn’t want to pay, etc. but that leaves a new hole in their lineup for many.

The issue was introduced two firmware versions ago. My Hopper 3 is just Hopper 3 - Marantz 8805 - Sony A9F. All quality 4K certified cables. There would be nothing a tech could do to fix this IMHO.... The issue is Dish.....
