Well, I have to say I am VERY pleased with D* so far. They sent someone out first thing this morning to replace my multi-switch and corrected my DVR problem and they switched my remote to IF and that fixed the problem............. So far I am VERY happy with D* over my experience with DISH...

Well I got the remote to work.......but you have to point it toward the ceiling vs. toward the receiver, so I'm thinking its the radio frequency/line of sight issue.......but it is working. Of course, now my DVR in the bedroom isn't working, so when they come to replace the multi-switch today...

It was set to RF, and they said the other remotes wouldn't work on my HD receiver.........the others are just regular DVR's.

I'm ready to throw it out the window. All the other DVR's remotes work fine, but the HR20 remote keeps freezing up. Everything, guide, channels, #'s, they all freeze up. I push lightly, hard.........doesn't matter. I'm happy with the rest of my install, but I can't handle this remote...

I am #130 on the list of markets for HD locals. So basically I have no hope for quite some time to get local HD channels. I currently have an OTA that gets HD locals MAYBE 50% of the time. I live in a highly treed area and at night........forgetaboutit. So, what are my options.......I...

I called, didn't ask specifically for Retention, but I did get multiswith added for free. They didn't budge on the HD-DVR price of $199 or the $99 for the 2nd DVR though. I did arrange for 2 lines installed for each of my 3 receivers though. I'll keep trying.......

I live 2 hours north of Sacramento in the mountains, so my OTA sucks big time.......I get "maybe" one or two channels a night and nothing after 8pm. Lots of trees. I'll look into the switch when I call back tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up Rachel

I'll go out on a limb here and answer the comment about installation for the DVR from Costco. Actually I do get free installation for that DVR as well.......at least that is what I signed up for and what she told me on the phone.
