Finally got the new Turbo software last night!

I found that within 24 hours after the software upgrade my 722 had some issues. The screen went black and was screeching according to my wife. I had her reset the receiver and everything was fine. Is this a software issue perhaps. Hopefully this software is more stable than Windows.

    Review Of Sky Angel Iptv

So is there more of a delay when switching channels? Back in the day when I started using satellite, that drove me nuts with the slight delay over cable but now it's no big deal. From what I understand the delay is longer however.

Will new national HD go live on 9/12/07???

I received word yesterday from DirecTV corporate that they plan to launch somewhere between 60 and 80 HD channels by the end of September with a total of around 100 comming by Christmas. When they come out exactly...based on DirecTV's past, who knows but the best part is the price. Only $9.99...

DISH Wants to get rid of me, why?

The $1000 charge won't be on your next bill, it will be to your credit card so watch out.

Does the 625 have an HDMI output?

HD is only as good as the weakest link. So if you have a SD TV and HD receiver and programming you'll still get SD. The same goes if the rec is SD like the 625 is so it wouldn't matter anyway.

Will a 311 dial out without being connected to the Dish?

You can just leave it in the closet unplugged. 311's are not required to be plugged in to a phone line. I know many people who go RVing for the summer and unplug their 311 and take it with them. No charges incurred. The audit department will only hurt you if it IS plugged in at another...

    722 Now, or wait?

I wondered the same thing as a dealer. The 622's had some bugs when they first came out and was a huge hassle. We wondered if the same thing would happen with the 722. From what we have seen, it has been pretty safe. The big issue with the 622 was that Dish was upgrading to mpg4 technology...

Horrible installation experience - and it isn't even installed yet

With most items it doesn't really matter if you deal local but with TV it makes a huge difference if you talk to the right local store. Ask a friend for a referral.

    625 recevier upgrade install

You can use the Dish Pro LNB if you run two lines to the receiver. It sounds like you have a quad LNB which is not compatible with Dish Pro Plus technology. It older Legacy technology. Your best bet is a Dish Pro Plus LNB which the installer should provide with the upgrade.

EchoStar & DIRECTV Could Miss Digital TV Deadline

Dish has connected with a 3rd party to offer eastcoast locals to areas who do not have locals available. As a retailer I talked with them at Team Summit 2007. This way they are not breaking any laws and can still offer network stations to the entire nation.

DISH Wants to get rid of me, why?

It sounds like a mistake. Sometimes we have had customers who have had a 2nd rec at their cabin hook it up to a phone line and allowing Dish Network to audit the receiver. They usually just shut it off forcing you to call and then they tell you why.

    SD or HD?

Luxury Item I happen to be a cheapskate by nature and I think that HD as great as it is, for the price is somewhat of a luxury item. There will come a time in the future where costs come down and all channels will be broadcast in HD.

    DISH Network manufacturer?

I was in Canada and I noticed that Bell Canada uses DISH Network 301 receivers to broadcast satellite TV north of the border. So obviously DISH doesn't mind selling equipment to our Canadian neighbors and I'm sure Bell Canada doesn't pay $99 for each receiver. So here's a pointless trivia...
