The same reason I didn't like it on FrndlyTV...having the broadcast feed altered with "substitute" programming, that doesn't seem to be as good as what should actually be there...

It's that way on all streaming providers that carry a national MeTV feed, as well as on at least some of the other Weigel networks that are carried by streaming providers. (I saw this firsthand when I had FrndlyTV for a few months) It has to do with program exclusivity rules for some shows...

Which, as I already explained, IS why you got it before & are getting it now...not that hard to understand... AND...the reason why you don't get it on your satellite delivered locals, is because yours is a low-powered affiliate & does NOT qualify for must-carry like the Houston MeTV affiliate.

Most likely, as that was how it was when it was previously added, in those markets where MeTV is a satellite delivered local channel - it's also like that when DirecTV added MeTV nationally... You already get it via KYAZ-51 in your locals pkg, which is why you're most likely not getting the...

What operating system does it have? Roku, Google or FireTV, as that does make a diff on IR codes...

I was speaking generally satellite internet was the only option at this point...but they specifically wanted NO part of SL! HN was also much cheaper, even for the top tier (even before the $10 bundle discount) & there was NO upfront cost whatsoever for equipment or installation The installer...

I don't know, but it HAD to have been pretty recently - I just saw this earlier today, at a clients house whom just got Hughesnet internet (they had NO other options out in their deep woods house!) & upgraded to Ho3/Jo3.

BUT what does he think he's going to be able to do with it? It cannot be added to any account with any other type of receivers, (except possibly a Wally or 211) so why wouldn't he just get a free one from DISH as a new install or upgrade???

I think I know the answer on this - if one gets all new Hopper+ equipment (H3 & H+ add-on, Joey 4's) can you revert the Joey 4's back to non-H+ mode? (ie: basically disable the Android home screen/features & make it act like a non-H+ Joey - equivalent to removing the H+ module from the H3)

WCCU-27 got dropped from locals in the Springfield/Champaign DMA (it was basically a duplicate FOX satellite of WRSP-55, which remains & only differed with Champaign/Urbana based newscasts)

Or GASP, let YOU rearrange them &/or add/delete them altogether - you know, the way Roku has simply done for years now... ;)

So just curious, besides MeTV, do all of the other Weigel networks have originating network HD feeds? I noticed over at Lyngsat, the Weigel bouquet only shows MeTV in HD...but I know Lyngsat isn't always up to date - not to mention networks are using IP-based network feeds that are not...
