As a baseball junkie I actually find this network very valuable in the off season as a place to go to get my daily baseball fix on those cold winter days.

Nothing could spoil my good mood this evening. Crystal clear HD, great game being played, Bob Costas. It doesn't get much better. My wife doesn't understand why I'm acting like a twelve year old on Christmas morning.

It seems Dish lives for the quarterly statement when they can proudly announce to the world how much money they made, never mind how many channels were dropped or how many lies were told ( rsn hd games). Direct accepts the fact that to keep their customers happy and provide what they promised...

I have to agree with vdsz, the cricket fans have a choice and they should be happy. If the game is important enough all they have to do is pay the fee. I as a baseball fan do not have that choice. I'd be happy to pay a little extra in the sports package or where ever to get the MLB network...

No, both MASN and MASN 2 are sd. They try to divide the Orioles and Nats games so both teams get half on the main channel and and half on 2.

All the discussion of part time rsn hd broadcasts has me wondering, is MASN the only rsn on dish that is still 100 percent sd and if so I wonder why that is? I understand and fully support the people that want all their games in hd, but for the MASN crowd at this point I think we'd be thrilled...

I mentioned to my wife that a switch to direct would probably mean fewer movie channels. To my surprise her response was oh you mean those channels that play the same ten movies for months and months. This from the movie buff in the house.
