they didnt take my dish500 when they installed my superdish. it just depends on the installer. and on a side note, that 36xbr800 u got is a great tv, got one myself :)

by what you said it is 100% a tv geometry problem. no many how many recievers you switch out the result will be the same. if what the below doesnt work look up the service codes for it and fix it that way.

composite can be better then svideo if your tv has a good comb filter componet is better then dvi if you have an analog tv such as a direct view crt (tube tv)

you should try svideo first, svideo will give you the best picture quality.

if your tv is a direct view tv, tube 40 inch or lower, then component should look better as it is one less digital to analog conversion. For all other tvs hdmi/dvi would be best.

if u have a direct view (tube) tv componet is better then dvi due to one less digital to analog conversion. on all other kind of tvs as general rule dvi is better.
