Can you hide channels? I know you can lock channels, but on my dish receivers I could hide channels we didn't want from the guide.

I had a dish 500 added last year to pick up HD locals. They are now on 129, so I have no need for 61.5. I can't get my living room 722 to go back to 129. I've tried a check switch and it didn't seem to do anything. The 622 in my bedroom is somehow using 129, but I can't seem to get the 722...

I originally moved from 129 to 61.5 because my locals started there and I got a much stronger signal from 61.5. Our HD used to drop all the time. I've got a 1000.2 and a 500. would they just need to pull the 500 aimed at 61.5? Has 129 improved?

This is exactly what I'm looking for in the end. Are they talking about doing something with Microsoft Media Room or will it be purely powered by Sling. This years solution sounds fine, but it doesn't quite meet the needs of my family's viewing habits.

This is great, but where I live, all we get OTA is the 4 networks and pbs.

I have a really stupid question. Where is the switch located? is it on my dish (1000.2) would it be inside where the installer ran the cables into the house? Or do I even have a switch? I currently have 2 recievers. I'd like to run another line for a receiver for some testing I'll be doing.

I've got the 61.5 dish installed. Apparently was the very first my installer had done. I'm tempted to unplug 129 because the signal strength on 61.5 is as least double.

If it's anything like what D has planned, it'll be a USB tuner. My guess is we won't even see anything about this until Windows 7 releases.

Saw that and I'm really excited. We used media center as our DVR before going to dish for HD. I'd love to get back to watching tv on that platform again.

My plasma needs to be serviced. I've got an old 19" i plan on connecting while it's gone. am I going to have difficulty viewing HD programing on the tv? Obviously not in HD, but will it down res the picture on HD channels to 480i assuming I set the res on the dvr to 480i? I'm mostly...

The installer that did mine was saying how horribly Dish has screwed this up. He's got a lot of customers in town that have no eastern view. There's also a lot of neighborhood covenants that prohibit a second dish. i don't know if mine does or not, but nobody has said anything yet.
