Well, I changed to a triple LNB dish. Now I am able to get local channels on my DTV/40 hour TIVO receiver. However, on my very old standard RCA receivers (maybe 6 years old), it does not give me the local channels. Any idea why?

Well, that sure sounds like it would rule out Dish. Unless there were a standalone HD TIVO that I could connect to a Dish reciever. But I don't think there is such a TIVO box.
