002 is the Rain Fade popup that comes up when 1 transponder is not receiving signal but other transponders on the same sat are. But you could be getting it because of the reasons stated above.

Your 722 is in "Limp Mode"... it still functions, but all hard drive functions are disabled. When you get the popup again if you hit "Delete Now" it will re-partition and re-format the drive.

That error can come about because it couldn't mount the hard drive or hard drive partition, so it may work on other tries.

They are too far away and too small to see from the satellite. I think they are only 2000 miles from Earth.

The HDPPV for events was changed 4 months or so ago down from 9467 to 548. I guess to make room for SPEEDHD and others HDPPV 9467 and 548 both were/are on 110 T13 and 72.7 T17.

The receiver probably went into "Limp Mode" where it knows you have a hard drive problem, but doesn't stop you from watching tv until you get it taken care of. Try the reformant procedure posted above.

The encryption is sent over the satellite in the stream for the channel. If you do not have the right smart card it can't decode the stream. Therefore it puts up the popup saying you are not authorized.

Wrong. If you have no hard drive... you get 2 days. If you have DVR(inside or EHD) you get 9 days... if you have signal the particular transponder.
