just wondered if anyone has any tips on how to find the azimuth when pointing the slimline dish. i know a compass will be helpful, but i'm not quite sure how to use it. from memory my azimuth i believe is 229. when using the compass where do you place it on the dish while pointing to get the...

the last release had it availalbe....but many including myself were never activated to use it by D*. i can see the VOD but nothing will work with it, no channel 1000 either.

i'm in the same boat. i can see everything but none of it works...supossedly it has to be activated on D*s end, not sure if they are activating new people or not.

i don't have channel 1000 and i don't have the engineering stuff added to my recent account status. i'm rebooted multiple times and done multiple network tests....so i've done everything on my end. not sure what D* plans on doing with this new release if they will enable me or not.

yeah its not a big deal either way... just weird how some who didn't have VOD in the past have had it activated with this release and others like myself have not.

still waiting for D* to activate things on their end...been since around friday at midnight

i saw that it was connected when i set it up so i didn't think i had to do this. just did it, so hopefully it will work now in a few hours or so. we'll see.

yeah, i've reset my box twice and after roughly 8 hours of downloading the new update i have VOD listed but it still does nothing.

awesome...i got this downloaded and VOD showing up. but i can't even add channel 1000 in my favorites. connection with the network is fine... but after 30 minutes still no VOD and nothing happens when i highlight VOD.

after two weeks with the hr20 coming from the hr10 i'd never go back to the hr10. once you know what you are doing the hr20 is every bit as good as the hr10 and IMO much better just because of the speed.

ok great...looking forward to trying this out for the first time and really hoping the DOD is enabled for me since i didn't get in the first time around.

where can we find the CE program to participate in it? sorry, i just got this dvr and haven't heard of this thanks.

when is the VOD service going to be live for actual use? no use of me hooking this up now cause i don't care about sharing media from my computer since my computer is hooked up to the tv as well.

i have a 5lnb install for this coming thursday. my dish needs to be mounted on a pole. will the intaller have the poles or should i go out and buy them? do i only need one 2" pole? any advice is appreciated.
