    New Dual Tuner OTA Adapter

Others here have said they contacted Dish and were told there is no warranty through Dish.

    New Dual Tuner OTA Adapter

But not by Dish, and Dish apparently doesn't support it. Has Dish ever advertised this?

    New Dual Tuner OTA Adapter

If they can't afford to replace a $60 device, then they should probably hold off being beta testers until Dish sells the device directly.

Just because has been a pretty good reason for many things throughout history... Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    New Dual Tuner OTA Adapter

Dish subbing this out is clearly what they did. A vendor ID swap is very easy to do, and it allows them to limit the hopper to only their branded adapter, and also makes it so it's harder to use their adapter on a PC. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

It'd make a pretty poor doorstop. And you wouldn't make it a doorstop... Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    No Joey software update available...

Yep, at first, I didn't realize software updates were tied to an active account, figured an active account was just whether or not you got TV service. At least there were a few tips presented for others who may have a similar issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    No Joey software update available...

Yeah, I figured that was the issue now. I just wonder why it didn't get the Joey software when I had active service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    No Joey software update available...

Thanks for the tip, I ran through that, and immediately following, there still was no Joey software available. It may not work, as I don't have active service any more. I upgraded to Carbon a couple days before I canceled, because I was curious to use the new interface. I've since canceled...

    No Joey software update available...

I updated to the Carbon UI, but my Joeys remain on the old UI. On the Hopper, the "Available Joey Software" says "N/A". Any way to force the Hopper to check for/download the latest Joey software?

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

To each their own. Doesn't matter to me where you spend your money. In a couple years, I'll be saving approx. $50 per month, and can put that money to use elsewhere. Price conscious people look at more than just the up front cost or the monthly bill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

Yes, as stated earlier, buying equipment with lifetime is not for the person who has to have the latest every year or three. Renting and paying fees is the way to go. The same holds for phones. T-Mo jump is much better if you always have to have the latest. I'm perfectly happy with my 4yr old...

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

What electronics are you using that have such short lifespans? The main failure of a DVR is the hard drive, and those are easily replaced. In fact, I bought the 500GB TiVo and immediately put in my own 3TB drive. At this point, other than the TiVos and my Xbox One, every TV, amp, blu ray, etc...

Ah. So how would that work? Like I'd have to have them ship us a DPH42?

So I had my Dad send me pictures of the system status screen, and he's not WA, but split. He has 110, 119, and 72.

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

For me, it doesn't matter as I've already switched away from dish. And I couldn't convince the wife to accept it part time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

Yes, as long as it's not flagged. HBO and other premium channels you can't, but most standard channels you can. That's another nice benefit, I don't have to use my Hauppage for most things I want to save. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

I consider it a mirroring device because the Joey is a paperweight without a Hopper. All tuners, shows, and functionality come from the Hopper. The Joey is just showing me something that's on the Hopper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

I absolutely should have done lifetime. I just got the bolt which is fast and supports 4K, and I have no intention of upgrading to 4K. I had the H1 for 4yrs and would have kept it another 4yrs if I could have got rid of the Joey fees. If your the type that has to have the lasted tech all the...

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

Well, the Sirius lifetime was such a good deal they got rid of it. It was most definitely an awesome deal for me. And I'd do it again. The radio will likely last at least 3yrs, and mine is going on 11, so I've saved thousands of dollars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow, what a wall of text. Paragraphs or a tl;dr would be nice. So this new hybrid lnb can see through tree? If not, then a single dish solution will not work for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

Well, not bad luck really as I have already canceled Dish. But it is true that will be the case until you can pick each channel individually. We all know that will never happen. I believe we're in the waning days of the golden age of TV. From here on out, things will become more and more...

DISH has lost 420,000 subs so far this year

Tivo has a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't like it. And yes, there is sticker shock on the all-in fee, but that's where the savings come. When I bought my car 10yrs ago, I had the option of a $300 Sirius lifetime. I took it, as a year was ~$130 or so. After 3yrs, I was ahead. I...
