Honestly, I never felt that OTA TV stations should get paid at all. They are OTA for Free. They get their money from advertisers. The have Basically Free airwaves, worth billions. But I also do not believe customers should be held hostage. Since it is the FCC rules that allow the blackouts...

My wife has informed me that she is done with DISH. We lost both ABC channels with this as well as local news in NH. Needless to say, the hopper 3 that I Love is being replaced with a Tivo and Spectrum. It makes me sad, but I don't see any other way around it. I even bought a local antenna...

Well sorry, I enjoy watching a game here and there. People ARE different ya know... It's kind of sad that you think the opinions of a few, are the majority. The fact of the matter is, a great deal of people DO watch NBA games, or these players wouldn't be making the millions they make...

Yeah, I went to the dish forum to double check after I received the press release from Dish, because I DO enjoy watching the celtics every once in a while, and if it DID allow it, I'd pony up the cash for it...

haha, of course people watch the NBA. :) And yeah, I've learned to live with the fact that comcast is holding dish hostage on this one. It's as stupid and greedy as it gets.

Ok, for the record, I just checked with Dish, if you live in New England, and get this package you will NOT get the Boston Celtics... Just an FYI in case anyone was thinking this was a way around the stupid issue with Comcast Sports NE... :(

I ordered mine from dish.com, went into my account and Dish Store. There it was. :)

I think it works pretty damn good now, I would prefer it as a color button on the remote though, she uses it every day now... She's just not big into change. :) Took her forever to like the hopper coming from the X1 and before that the tivo. She still wants her tivo back....

I THINK IT'S DOG TV! WOOHOOO! I was actually thinking of switching to DTV just to get that channel. Yeah they dogs are stuck at home while I make money to buy the kibble.... :) But Normally they are left with Sirius/XM Hits if my wife leaves last, or Classic Rewind if I leave last. :)
