    Newbee Quesiton - HD channels twice

    I just got a 722 and noticed the HD channels are listed twice. For example ESPN HD is 140 and 9xxx. The content seems to be the same so my question is what is the difference? Is one better than the other? Thanks

    the tech tried to change the remote, but when he did only remote 2 would change. He wasn't able highlight remote one to make that remote change. They mentioned something about a uhf upgrade or putting a tent infront of the infrared. if someone knows how to make this work, please let me...

    Hi Ted I have a LN-S4692D. If I get right infront of the 722 the remote works. The techs that were here turned off the TV and changed a channel using the remote. That worked so they deemed the issue the TV. Any thoughts?

    I have a new samsung lcd and a ViP722 receiver. The infrared remote will not work unless I am 3 inches away from the receiver. I am told the tv is causing interference. The TV is behind the receiver and roughtly 1 foot below the TV. Any suggestions on getting this to work?

    Gary, When I go to the DN site, and check local HD channels it does say there are available. But the CSRs said it is not available. I do receive local HD channel through a hi-def antenna but not able to record from it. Thanks, My zip: Glen, Allen VA 230060

    I have a 722 receiver but am not able to get local news HD so I have an external antenna. A I able to tie the antenna into the 722 and record? On the dishnetwork site is says locals are available but talking to a rep said that is wrong. any ideas?
