    I tried 498 and got nothing but blank screen. I then tried the switching between 498 and 72/73 as suggested above. No result. Then I tuned to an MPEG-4 local channel, then back to 498. That woke it up and I'm now getting the congrats screen. Hope this helps someone.:up

    I think I may have the same or similar TV to yours. First off, burn in should never be an issue if it is a DLP or LCD projection. It would only be a problem in CRT projection (which I don't believe it could be in that size Panasonic) or plasma (but plasmas are not projection). As to your other...

    An Update

    On 9/15 I saw on my account activity the $2.33 + and - additional HD access charges. This thread is my first indication that others are seeing such activity. I called a CSR on 9/17, who said there was no explaination and no notes on my account. Maybe this is all related.
