    Setup Question

The wireless video bridges are under $60 on Amazon but not sure they will send a tech out without having directv install it

    Setup Question

My guess is they will probably throw in the wireless client for free but make you pay for the wireless bridge since it's not leased and an owned item.

    Setup Question

Wireless clients work well from my little experience with them, can't really tell them or the wired clients apart when using them and it would be perfect for your situation.

Cancelled Sunday ticket...and they let me!

Funny seems like when you actually do want to cancel something they make it hard, and when you really just want them to give you a better offer or throw ya a bone they make cancelling to easy :-). I had a 2% cash bank unlimited everywhere card through HSB, they got bought out by different credit...

    The Latest AT&T Phone News

That's good to know, I believe Verizon lets it's customers keep unlimited plans but you must purchase your devices full price, not at a discount :-( I am on a grandfathered rate plan that doesn't penalize you for 2 yr upgrades like the new mobile share plans do. Plus my fan discount waives...

    The Latest AT&T Phone News

at&t the past few months has stopped throttling altogether unless the network is actually congested, I had full speed 100% of the time the last few billing cycles and have been well over 5 GB on my unlimited plan, I am only halfway through my current billing cycle and already over 7 GB without...

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

your confused, I said the phone number was a loop hole in at&t's unlocking program, go back and read

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

    where did I claim that?

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

The IMEI is used to obtain the unlock code as its the phone's identifying number, just like a vin number on a car. But just like a vin number on a car, that is all it does, the vin number doesn't lock your car doors, keys do (sim lock), but if you need a replacement key you will need that vin...

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

This was the untrue statement you posted in post 776 No, why because the network knows that the IMEI is locked to ATT. Once the IMEI of the phone is released as UNLOCK, you are free to switch SIM from different carriers.

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

Wait seriously! I thought you finally really understood! Are you claiming what you posted early was correct? Everything you linked was 100% true, but was not what you claimed earlier? All you linked was how an unlock code is made, and how to obtain one.

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

What you posted is perfect and makes my point, the phone is what was locked, network has nothing to do with it.. Thanks for posting! :-)

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

That isn't correct, an imei lock(known as blacklisting) is totally different, a carrier lock is sim based, I can be in the middle of the ocean with no T-mobile signal and place a T-mobile sim in a locked AT&T phone and it will immediately reject it, no checking the network, the phone is what is...

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

LOL! the imei isn't locked to any number, AT&T is a GSM based network, I can move my sim card from my iphone 6 plus to my Galaxy S6 at will, no calling AT&T to change plans or anything. AT&T system will make the appropriate changes. Also yes apple will actually do the unlock "once" at&t gives...

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

You need the system to see the phone under a phone number without a contract on that device, thus believing phone was purchased in full. The iccid has nothing to do with actually unlocking the device.

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

A trick with AT&T is you can unlock you phone they day after you get it even if your technically not suppose too. This is how. Purchase new phone at discounted price for example I paid $299 for my iphone 6 plus, take home, swap in sim from one of my other lines. go to at&t website, unlock phone...

AT&T To Buy DIRECTV for $67 Billion

AT&T and Verizon get by charging more due to they have by far the best coverage, kind a like Mercedes Benz gets by charge 80K for a station wagon, they are the premium service but to many is not worth it, T-mobile coverage is much better than it used to be though, I will admit I will switch to...
