Summer Debut for Cablevision Network DVR

Saw this on www.engadgethd.com , which linked to the site below & thought I'd share it here. Looks like this may be happening soon. Not sure how I feel about this, especially with some of the 'compromises' they have to make to get this out (like not being able to skip commercials -BOOOO!)...

    New Channel coming in May

I'm very disappointed...where are all the people complaining that it's not BBC America?? Seriously, you people are falling down on the job here. (Actually, I'm pretty happy with this. I used to love Boomerang when I had it with E*, so I'm glad to get it again. Lot's of fun nostalgia for me...

Just a question, but...doesn't Cablevision (along with all cable providers) have to convert ALL of their analog channels to digital by Feb 2009? I know that's almost a year away, but if the numbers above are true, won't they have more than enough room for any channel (HD or not) that they want...

    HDMI to Component Question

Thanks Phil (giraffejumper) - I'm going to keep my eye on this HD Fury device. $150 is not bad to 'Update' my TV (as opposed to spending a couple thousand for a new one). I appreciate the input. - wb

    HDMI to Component Question

I have a question maybe someone can answer... I have an older model Akai (ne Samsung) Rear-projection HDTV that only accepts component cables and a max resolution of 1080i. I KNOW noone makes a straight-forward HDMI-Component converter, but I have seen HDMI to DVI and DVI to Component...
