You can call them and tell them you are going to cancel. My co-worker called to cancel his, and they gave him another year at the same price. I don't know for sure that they will do the same thing for you, but if you are going to cancel because of the rates, it's worth a shot. Worst they can say...

I don't think he's blaming Cablevision....He asked if anyone had the same issue with the DVR expander after the update and then mentioned he is probably leaving Cablevision soon anyway, so he would've lost those recordings at some point.......that's my take anyway.

I have the 500g DVR expander and as far as I can tell, it still works fine after the update. I would call their technical support (1-800-458-5448).

I haven't heard anything, but I HIGHLY doubt it. I would expect Jan. 1 to be the earliest we get anything more.
