Sounds like par for the course to me. I haven't found good customer service with any tv provider. They are great when you start up but terrible once you become an existing customer. Dish, DTV, Comcast are all basically the same in my experience.

I have no interest in 3D TV. I hate the 3D glasses and 3D effects. I am more than happy with just having standard HD. I hope 3D doesn't take off like HD did.

I prefer 2 D over 3 D almost every time. 3d just isn't very good most of the time. Not only does 2D cost less but it's usually better quality picture IMO.

Yea looks like its whole. Last time I had DTV and canceled they never asked for the dish back either. It got thrown away. But I didn't have HD then which was one of the reasons I switched back then.

I just had DTV installed yesterday after canceling Dish. They asked me when I called if I could reach the dish without a ladder. It's on my roof so I can't get it without a ladder so they told me don't worry about it. All they want me to return is the receivers and remotes. The DTV installer...

I'm switching next weekend (earliest available appointment ). Called today to cancel Dish and let em know part of the reason was they were dropping AMC. Other part was I save money for a while with DTV and when that ends I can always switch back and get the Dish new customer perks again.
