ABC in Shreveport, LA (KTBS) is Back Up!

Hoooorah!... If they just had the HD I would switch back to satellite. In the Shreveport, Bossier twin cities area we have 300k+ population but we get places like Waco, Beaumont, Whitchita (SP?) falls that have their HD's turned on. It doesn't make since since these areas would use similar...

    Warning, AT&T Dishnetwork Bundling Misinformation

When I asked about this bundling program neither company had CSR's that were informed about the programs adequately. Seriously does this "lying" surprise anyone? Not me.

How many HDTV's are in your house

I just replaced my rear projection with a Samsung 71 series making my count 4 until I sell it. Shipsnake - lead her to the promise land. Tell her she can have her living room back if you have a flat panel. More space for decorating! ;)

    Fox News Sues Echostar

I made this complaint to Dish when I first joined. I did not want to move up ten dollar package just to get a standard channel. I am surprised that it took this long. It is no secret CNN and others carried on the lower tier have a certain bias and by denying the opposite bias equally...

Response from E* on TBS HD

I hate to say it but my local Comcast is late at getting everything and we just had TBS HD turned on. This one time I am glad I am not with Dish/DirectTV.... But only this time :p

    Fox News HD

None are worth the air they breath. All have multiple agendas all will mislead and in the end there will never be black and white there are only shades of gray. News agencies by their nature can't help but convey their own spin because they are telling stories and only a small piece of the...

    QAM reciever? Dish acceptance?

Rebroadcasting tuner two through a QAM channel is almost a must given HDTV's acceptance. Support HD all the way not HD/ then just SD. I would love to tune in my other HD in the bedroom using Tuner two as I have three HDTV's and only one of which gets any real "love" right now !protest

    Dish you suck at HD

Honestly, I left dish because of the same thing a long time ago. There is normally a pretty big difference. My wife even noticed. This was when the 811's first came out and before HD lite. I recall HDnet always looking fantastic but the others were hot as good. I do regret my decision...

    Dish you suck at HD

Honestly I have Comcast and typically they look fantastic. I noticed all the wide angle shots doing the same thing. Unfortunate as I am trying out a LCD to replace my old Rear Projection monitor. I had my issues with the LCD before hand but man now I don't know what to believe! Edit: Fan...

    Lease or own MPEG4 receivers

You do have to pay a leasing fee in addition to a DVR fee. Older 500 series DVRs could avoid the fee and if you have America's Everything or whatever pack they won't charge you the DVR fee as well. Otherwise you are paying 10 bucks a month plus programming. Arn't botched investments fun...

Dish messing with Voom, All are now HD-Lite 1280x1080i: Discuss this issue HERE!

I hate to be ah well "hater" but Dish wouldn't know quality if it bit them in the butt. I pro-actively switched to cable and plan to stay there until MPG4 and full res and bit rate HD makes it onto satellite. I made a hard decision to leave but looking back over these past 10 months. I am...

The True HD era has come to an end and the HD Lite era will continue!

The picture quality was nothing compared to Cable HD anyways. I have had both. This just strengthen's my resolve to stay with cable. Good job Guys way to think out of the box real good corporate downsizing mentality (I mean who actually wants an all around quality product anyways!) >0(...

    Anime Network

TimeWarner has it and is one of the reasons I recently switched. They have it OnDemand. I kinda wish they would just get the regular channel sometimes due to them not changing out the shows fast enough but all in all it is really nice. This channel was one of my largest factors for leaving...

    Dish HD owns Time Warner

Believe it or not I am quite satisfied with my Toshiba. I love the unit. Unfortunatly it doesn't have a DVI input but I do have a high quality component cable set and DVI doesn't justify a new tv :D Some of my HD OTA and sometimes HDNET would look astonishing.

    Dish HD owns Time Warner

Ah... yeah.. Scratch all that. I saw it on my lunch break and the moron installer left it on an Svideo input and my wife didn't catch it. I am on component and well it is reeeaaaally nice. But not much else compares. ON demand programing freezes and pixelates speraticly. All in all much...

    Dish HD owns Time Warner

Dish HD owns TimeWarner and I am heartbroken! I got it installed today and had them both up to compare. As poor as Dish does HD. They do it better than quite a few. I guess I will have to put up with them after all. I wanted them to be better but... freezing pixelating and just a soft...

Any experiance with TimeWarner? Possible Defector here :(

I know this has been touched on in other threads but I was curious about returning to dish in the event I don't stay with TW or sign up with DirectTv if I feel they aren't keeping up with new HD content. I had read rumors about dish requiring a new 2 year agreement if you reuse them...
