Could you live with only a dozen channels?

I pretty much watch just these four... AMC BBC America Golf Channel Fox Sports RSN

If Dish drops AMC, will you drop dish??

Well, can't really vote since I am a Directv customer. Was going to switch to Dish for Hopper setup, but now I won't until this matter is settled one way or the other.

Using a Joey in HD on an older DVI input TV

I have a 2003 model Samsung DLP with DVI-D and no HDMI. Specs say it supports HDCP over DVI. I am hoping this will work with a Joey using an HDCP compliant HDMI to DVI-D cable.

    Questions about The Hopper?

Long time Directv customer expecting to switch to Dish for Hopper/Joey and BBCA HD. If I currently have need for just 1 Hopper and 1 Joey but will want to add a second within 6 months, I assume I would be better off getting 2 at sign up? Or can additional Joeys be added later for free?

RSN games STILL not in HD?

Can someone in the Twins market confirm whether or not any Twins games are shown in HD on FSN North? Considering switch to Dish, and would do so if most of the games are in HD. But according to this link, it appears that HD is very rare... Game Finder - DISH Network Even when the same game...

Suddenly it is rare that a Milwaukee Brewers' game is shown in HD

On that chart, does the 'X' indicate HD? I have been considering a switch to Dish but this schedule would seem to indicate that Twins games are not shown in HD on FSN North. Sun 7/31 4:00 PM Minnesota Twins at Oakland Athletics - FOXN Mon 8/01 1:00 PM Minnesota Twins at Oakland Athletics...

    Considering new service in MSP

And I may want an OTA receiver since some of the locals do not seem to be transmitted in HD; WFTC-My29 for example. Not so important any more as they lost the Sunday Twins broadcasts. I would need the 722k for OTA?

    Considering new service in MSP

So I might be better off going with a reseller than directly with Dish if I want a 722/722k + Sling Adapter, and no other receiver. I would not want to have an install where they come with a 612 for a single TV install, then have to immediately upgrade to a 722 in order to get the sling adapter.

    Considering new service in MSP

I am considering switching from DirecTV to Dish; mainly for BBCA HD. Giving up full-time FSN-North will be the downside. Sling could be the difference maker. Living alone, I could never justify more than 1 receiver during my time with DirecTV. A couple of questions; the Dish web site...

No Fox News HD in Turbo HD only!?

I don't want to be tied to a long term Dish commitment if Dish were to add other new HD channels such as FX HD and AMC HD to base packages and not to Turbo. I would rather stick with D* in that case. Turbo is the only reason for me to switch.

No Fox News HD in Turbo HD only!?

I just did as a current DirecTv customer. That I was intending to switch to a TurboHD package next month when my commitment ended with D*, but the confusion over why Fox News HD was not included in the Turbo packages has made me reconsider and now will stay with DirectTv until the issues of...
