Thanks for the informative replies. From what I am understanding, the Hopper doesn't offer the viewer the option to for example go to channel 185, and then record every new show, whatever the content. I am not sure how many days are in the guide, 7 days ahead? I got addicted to that with the...
I got trained on the VIP 721 when using the DVR function. I could record a single show, in all episodes, in a week at a time. The Hopper 52. remote seems to only allow setting a timer one show at a time, even though that show may have new episodes. Is there a manual to read that shows all the...
My Hopper 3 and 52.0 remote work well together, except for one issue. The remote despite having the Dish provided code to be recognized by the H/3, does not turn the Klipsch surround system on. I need to use my Harmony Touch to turn on/off the surround system. Any suggestions for forcing the...
The settings link that opens to the audio system allows for viewing of the Klipsch models. The CS-500 was one of two so I selected that and the code 3092 links open. I also tried manually inputting the code #. But it doesn't allow the remote to access the Klipsch power on/off. My Logitech...
The Hopper 3 and Joey install went well. The 52.0 remote works well, except, the pairing code DISH says to use (3092), does not power on the surround sound. It does its job powering on the DVR and TV which has its own code. Anyone using a different code for a Klipsch CS-500 unit? The...
How does one change the default to TV1? It's defaulted to TV2, but that can't be changed. Really all that I need is to stop the live channel from being disrupted each time a timer fires.
In single mode, the default is to TV 2. This TV and DVR are cabled, there's only one TV/DVR. How does one change the default to TV1? Or, is it possible, I haven't been able to. Or, would this set up create the live channel disruption?
This occurs regardless of the timer channel, and when it's programmed. I can do a test of any channel, and it will auto default to the timer channel. Example: watching 205, test timer for 203. Timer fires to 203 while watching 205, and it is disrupted to watch 203 live.
I switched over to dual mode, and set the default tuner to TV 2. Results: the live channel I watch still switches over to the timer channel. Does this in both modes.
I have one VIP 722 cabled to one TV. Is the current operational plan for setting timers always like this?
For example:
I set a timer for 8:00 pm. I am watching a live channel and at 8:00 pm the timer fires on and the channel switches over to the timer show channel. Then I have to go to the...
