Exactly, still do not understand what satellite providers are doing. I mentioned in a previous post, cable (COX) only charges you a lease\rental fee. No upfront cost. It's ridiculous to pay $299.00 plus a lease fee, I know D* calls it a "mirror fee". But's another way to try and deceive us.

Your right, there would be no way to switch channels seperately. I just thought PIP would be something thrown in and common place on a high end receiver. Hard to buy into the fact it would add a huge amount to the cost. Still trying to digest paying $ up front for a receiver then a...

Doesn't seem too much was spent... DISH does it, COX Communications has it. I'm sure more do also. My Televsion does have the capability for PIP. So before I go on does the new HD-DVR receiver or any D* receiver have the ability to send 2 signals at once? Honestly never thought of trying.

How unfortunate, makes them sound cheap and not on the cutting edge. LIke Charper1 mentioned, maybe they feel it's not as popular but by now that should be standard. Like buying a new car and not getting the CD player. Being the Sports leader that should be top priority for football season...

NOT ALL games are broadcasted in HD. So we're probably not missing anything. Living in San Diego most of the regular season Charger games were not in HD last year. Curious to see during the season, when the NFL Network shows their games of the week. If those games are also shown on Ch. 95...

Going with HD LIL was an easy decision. Don't think the customers in these forums that go with OTA for HD are the majority. Most HD customers do not want to go out of their way to install an antenna, run wire, etc... IMHO, you get more more bang for your buck with HD LIL, any primetime...

Agreed, the people who erect antennas to get OTA HD are miniscule in comparison to the viewing public. We already know the # of HD viewers are in the minority. I'm big on watching HD programming, but wouldn't bother myself with setting up an antenna on my roof, running cable, drilling...
