CNN/FN going dark (Sunshine RSN coming. Available to FL area only)

It's showing on my guide here in WV, but like the FSFL, I can't get it. Looks like it's up and running though.

    Rainbow Spin-off is dead

I know it's a long shot, but I'm hoping that their "strategic alternatives" somehow allows them to use Cablevision contracts to give us INHD, HD On-Demand, and any others.

Unofficial: Current Customer Promo on Dec. 1st

So.... does the new pricing structure go into effect in January for the STB rental? Cuz my December bill is the same as it's always been.

Food Network now on channel 616 and Channel 700

I just got home from work and it looks like Food is live on Voom! Now that the nagging wives are taken care of, let's get some more HD! :p

    Rumor: HGTV Channel 615

I think you're referring to Morgan. She was taken off of The Screensavers and moved to a show called X-Play before they were bought out by Comcast. She's still there. She's probably the only reason people still watch TechTV. :D

    Rumor: HGTV Channel 615

The word is that it was ruined when Comcast bought it. Most of the staff was fired or quit. Shows cancelled. No longer worth watching, unfortunately. :(

    Rumor: HGTV Channel 615

Just so that you know, if you switch to Voom when they get HG & Food, you will be switching to a provider without Fox Sports. That's also been coming soon for a couple months now.

    Whatever happened to FoxSports?

I was just wondering what's going on with the Foxsports Cincinatti and Cleveland channels that my online bill still reflects as "Active". Also, what happened to the Florida Foxsports HD channel? I didn't get it, but it used to show up on my program guide. Now only the SD channel shows up. Did...

    Voom New Channels

Just wanted to let you know that we already have Sci-Fi. They added it a month or so ago.

    HDNet Moves Into OTA Market

Is there any word on what markets they're moving in to, or is it just the one channel in SF?

    Are you getting a signal from 321, 593 & 594 (post here)?

I'm not on the list. :( I'm sad now.

OTA Issues and New Software 6.20 Download Tonight!

I just wanted to say that with this new software that we received tonight, I'm not noticing the sparklies that I would often see on various SD channels. Great job Voom!

Anyone else have ch 321 (NBC-HD),594,593?

Channels 593 & 594 Is anyone else seeing channels 593 & 594 on their program guide? There's no channel name listed and no program guide info on there, and when I try to turn to it, it says I need to upgrade to receive them. Anyone know what these are? Are we about to receive some new channels?

New Channels and Olympics on VOOM?

According to my online account info, I should be getting the Ohio channels. I don't watch much sports though so I'm not really worried about it, but just so you guys know, I'm not getting them yet either. Here's what Voom's online info says: Services included in the package Va Va VOOM...

Its July 1, 2004 and no software.

I find it irritating that I can't watch my locals, but at least they are working on fixing it. All the whining is going to do is make Wilt not talk about future enhancements. I certainly don't want buggy software. I "upgraded" my DVD player's firmware so that it would add subtitle support for...

    $0 upfront program

Should be $24 plus whatever your package is for two receivers. $9.50 rental for each, plus an additional $5 for the second receiver. Here's a cut & paste from my bill. Monthly Charges 05/27 - 06/26/04 VOOM IRD Rental $9.50 05/27 - 06/26/04 1 additional VOOM IRD Rental @ $9.50...

Voom intends to become a major player

Hmm. Apparently Voom isn't planning on adding any channels. They're counting the 36 on my program guide along with the 3 locals to make 39. That's kind of misleading with all of us in areas where our locals don't broadcast in HD. Not to mention all the ones that aren't mapped correctly, or we...

Getting incorrect channels ESPN and others...

The receiver in my daughter's room was showing ESPN on Cartoon network, which is why I found out about it. If it hadn't touched cartoon network, I probably wouldn't have ever known. Pretty much all of her channels were screwy though. Various sports channels through Nickelodeon & Disney. Boy was...

    Receiver not downloading channel listing

I did the second one first, because it's difficult to get to the plug. I'd have to move the television out. It rebooted the box, and it took about 30 minutes, but all's working now. BTW, magic lozenge eater really has no meaning. Just mindless nonsense. :) Thanks guys.

    Receiver not downloading channel listing

Since the storm last night in which we lost power, my receiver is not downloading the channel listings. It will download the channel names, but not what's showing on them. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Whatever happened to channel scanning update?

How is the channel scanning going to work? Will it only show channels that it actually finds, or will we be able to manually turn channels on so that we can adjust the antenna until we get reception?
  22. S

Since VOOM may read this...(Make mozilla/firefox compatible with VOOM website)

While they're updating the website, they might as well just go ahead and announce the addition of TNT-HD. That way they can just pay the web designers once and be done with it.

New VOOM Offer: $199 installation starting 6/1/04

Perhaps that extra $10 is to cover the costs of adding more "basic" HD channels like TNT-HD, HDNet, INHD, etc. Maybe their negotiations ended up with them paying more than they'd originally planned for with the $39.90 price. Hopefully soon we'll be seeing some new HD channel additions to the...

Signal Strength Lower on Specific Channels

Well, that wasn't difficult at all. It just took me a couple minutes to get my signal back up to the mid-to-high 80s on all channels, including the Starz and ESPNs that I wasn't getting before. If I start losing signal in the rain, I may try to climb up there again and adjust it now that I know...
