2 reasons. I think Cox is way overpriced. Voom only cost me $10 more per month than what I was paying for Cox analog cable. I also didn't like the flippant attitude they showed when I wanted to cancel my service. They basically said "You'll be back. Let us know when you want us to hook you up...

Nope, the zap-to-it schedule is not ahead by thirty minutes. What I mean by "regular PBS": Before I got my OTA relocated and properly tuned, I went out and bought a set of rabbit ears so I could watch local stations. I connected this antenna directly to the antenna port on the back of the TV...

Sorry to hear! Where are you located? My experiences with the local installers here in PHX/Chandler have been mostly positive. I had Voom installed within less than 2 weeks of ordering it. The installer was somewhat lazy with respect to properly positioning the OTA, so after giving it a few...

    They think were idiots

Actually, what does this mean? When my installation was complete, my local channels were choppy and signal strength was poor. Both the installer and VOOM support said it may take several days for signal strength to build? What are they talking about? What exactly takes "a couple of days" to occur?

Hey all. I'm new to satellite (having just said farewell to Cox). One thing I've noticed is that all of my satellite programming is coming across with an EST schedule. Are the rest of you forced to watch everything on an east coast timing? Also, all of the programming on PBS is a half hour...
